Safe Flame collects no information.
Safe Flame uses your phone's flashlight to simulate the light of a fireplace, candle, or moonlight. The app does not collect, store remotely, use, or share personal information.
Privacy questions, answered
What information is collected?
None. Safe Flame collects no personal information, account information, usage data, or device identifiers.
Is the camera used?
No. Android camera permission is used only to control the flashlight through Android camera hardware APIs. The camera function is never used.
Does iPhone ask for camera permission?
No. On iPhone, Safe Flame uses the torch and does not ask for camera permission.
Is anything sent or shared?
No. There is no account, server, advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party data sharing in the app.
Does it use the microphone or location?
No. Safe Flame does not access the microphone, camera images, location, contacts, messages, or files outside the app.
What stays on the device?
Only limited operating state, such as the selected light mode, may be stored locally. It is not collected, transmitted, or visible to QILA Modus.
Data collection
The Safe Flame app itself collects no information. It has no sign-in, user profile, cloud account, database, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting service, or tracking technology. No personal information is requested or required to use the app.
Safe Flame only uses bundled artwork and sound, the phone's flashlight or torch, and the controls needed to start, stop, and change the simulated light.
Permissions
Information kept only on your device
Safe Flame may save limited operating state on your device so it can remember how it is being used. This can include the selected light mode, whether the service is running, and whether the Android permission explanation has been shown.
This is local app state, not collected information: it is not sent to QILA Modus, not shared with anyone, and not used to identify you. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app removes this local state, subject to normal device behavior.
Sound and background operation
The fireplace, candle, and moonlight sounds are bundled with the app and played locally. The app does not use the microphone and does not record, upload, or analyze audio.
Android may show an ongoing system notification while Safe Flame keeps the light and sound active in the background. The notification contains no personal information.
Contact and changes
The app does not collect information. If you voluntarily email QILA Modus, we receive the email address and message you choose to send so we can respond to you.
